We are always seeking new interns to join the New York City based Health 2.0 Developer Challenge Team. Our interns work on critical projects including marketing and communications strategy, challenge management support, and graphic design. We hire interns throughout the year and interns generally work between 20 and 40 hours per week. Marketing and Communications Internship

Become a part of the Health 2.0 revolution! The Health 2.0 team is looking for a 1 – 2 smart, motivated students to fill a few internships. The interns will work with Jean-Luc Neptune, Jennifer Stone, Hemali Thakkar and Graeme Ossey on all aspects of the Health 2.0 Developer Challenge. Responsibilities will include a wide range of editorial, writing, marketing, research, database work, and event and project support tasks. The ideal candidates have an interest in health care, business, and technology, and will be are detail oriented, Web & media savvy, with excellent writing skills. Health 2.0 sits at the center of new tech innovation in health care and is a great place to gain experience and see exactly what’s going on in this industry. We are doing many different things, but the selected candidates will be able to do at least some of the following:

Major Responsibilities Include:

    • Marketing and PR Support: Work with developer challenge team to increase participation in our challenges and innovation projects; Track and respond to incoming queries for information from clients, journalists, conference attendees, and sponsors; Make suggestions and execute on strategy to increase web traffic and increase visibility of challenges; Update Web content; Conduct Social media marketing (blog, facebook, linkedin, twitter)
    • Editorial tasks: Prepare and post content to websites; Select and digest news stories for blogs; Brainstorm and research content; Copy editing; Potential for other writing opportunities
    • Other Responsibilities May Include:
    • Research: Research prospective clients, topic based market surveying, and other challenge promotional channels
    • Event & Challenge Support: Contact conference and challenge participants, sponsors, etc to update profiles; Maintain web community and sites; Coordinate volunteers, photography, sponsors, and other event support; Consolidation of materials and standardization


    • Bachelor’s degree or current pursuit of one
    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Strong PC computer skills (Word, Excel, Internet Research); Web development skills and experience with social media, html and blogging apps a plus
    • Strong interest in healthcare and technology
    • Ability to handle multi-task in a fast paced environment
    • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
