Corral Your Data and Lasso Your Health!

The Austin Health 2.0 chapter hosted their first ever code-a-thon called Codeo (for Code Rodeo) to corral our data and lasso our health! The goal was to create and advance patient-centered disruptive innovations to improve health and health care.

We kickoffed the weekend with a quick intro, tech talks from our sponsors, API presentations, and specific challenges participants could address during the code-a-thon. On day 1, participants had a chance to pitch their own ideas to the rest of the group, team up and start building applications. At the end of day 2, teams presented their creations to the other teams as well as our panel of expert judges who then awarded prizes to the best of the best.

At the end of the competition, everyone took home what they built.
