Anne Lidgard, has a MSc degree in Engineering Physics, and a doctorate degree in Physics from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. Her professional background is in corporate R&D at AT&T Bell Labs and at Ericsson, within the fields of Fiber Optic and Mobile Communication. She has also spent many years working with small businesses in various positions, both in operations and as board member. She joined Vinnova, The Swedish Innovation Agency in January 2006, and has been part of the management team since May 2009. In June 2012, she became visiting scholar at Stanford University (The Wallenberg Research Link) and Director of Vinnova, Silicon Valley. In 2013 she took the initiative together with the other Nordic bridge organizations to formalize a Nordic collaboration in Silicon Valley, and in the summer of 2014, Nordic Innovation House (Palo Alto) was launched.
