Jim Greene

UntitledOn January 20th, 2015, Dr. Jim Greene was sworn in to be the new Deputy Director of the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) Center for Health Statistics and Informatics (CHSI). Dr. Greene brings with him many years of experience in the medical field, has extensive knowledge in public health/informatics and he has held various leadership roles throughout his career.

Today, Dr. Greene collaborates within CDPH programs to promote development of an Ecosystem of Data Sharing in support of the California Health and Human Services Agency Let’s Get Healthy California Initiative, designed to make California the healthiest state in the nation by 2022. Additionally, he contributes to a team within CHSI whose goal is to collaborate with the University of California Santa Barbara and the University of California Davis to create a California Integrated Vital Records System to serve the people of California in the registration and preservation of vital event records.
