John Norris, a former world-class scholar-athlete, has, for decades, been a leader and senior executive (mostly Chairman, CEO, or COO) at the convergence of healthcare policy, law, regulation, management, product innovation, productivity, healthcare-IT, IT cyber-security, and reform of healthcare reimbursement, organization, and regulation of manufacturer-products and hospital-service delivery. He has done work: for world-class government or quasi-governmental agencies, such as the FDA and the IOM; for well-known companies, such as Pfizer, Merck, J&J, GlaxoSmithKline, Mitsubishi, Konica Minolta, CIEA, Partners Healthcare System, Caritas Christi Healthcare System, Massachusetts General Hospital, and the Global Collaboration Center; for major universities, such as Harvard, Boston College, and Boston University; and for major trade associations, such as the AMA, the ABA, and the Massachusetts Hospital Association.
John is a former second-in-command of the US FDA, where he oversaw major reforms (and co-led the FDA’s last major reform initiative (including IT mechanization of key parts of the FDA’s work) with then Commissioner, Dr. Frank Young. There he achieved nearly 90%+ of his leadership and management goals, and won three FDA major awards and two Public Health Services major awards recognizing his contributions.
John currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Norris Capital, Inc. He has received numerous related awards, and is an avid industry speaker and writer.
