Mary Matthews was one of the early pioneers for using videogames for health and education. She was instrumental in establishing the UK’s Serious Games Institute and worked with US Department of Defense to create a motion controlled game for rehabilitation. Mary is passionate about using technology to engage and motivate people to take control of their own health. Her latest venture Memrica Prompt helps people with memory problems create a personal reminder system to improve confidence and independence. Mary has also worked in senior public policy roles and started her career as a broadcast journalist, reporting and presenting for BBC News, Sky News and C4 News in the UK.
