Mike is experienced in all aspects of patents and intellectual property, including invention protection and portfolio building, counseling, and licensing. His past positions include senior corporate counsel (NXP, Philips), director of legal services (Tropian), partner (Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis, now part of Buchanan Ingersoll), and U.S. patent examiner (U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, data processing arts). He has broad technical expertise in electrical, computer and software technologies including semiconductors, circuits, signals and systems, with particular expertise in semiconductors and communcations. He holds a JD degree from George Mason School of Law and a BSEE degree from Brigham Young University. Mike is an avid runner.
