Simon Longbottom

Vice President of Preventive Health Nokia Technologies

As Vice President of Preventative Health at Nokia Technologies, Simon is helping lead Nokia’s strategy in the digital health space and was instrumental in the acquisition of Withings, an award-winning connected health company. His passion for health is inspired by several close friends and family members who suffer from chronic diseases, and his belief that technology isn’t moving as fast as it could to prevent illnesses and improve people’s quality of life. Prior to Nokia, Simon worked as Vice President of Product for Quanttus, a startup that measures blood pressure through wearable devices, and served as an advisor to Empatica, which makes wearables for sufferers of epilepsy and seizures. Simon was also part of Microsoft’s Next Generation

Devices team, focusing on product development for the Internet of Things (IoT). Before turning his attention to health technology, he spent seven years in senior

product and marketing roles at Skype, including leading Skype’s near $1bn telecom business. Simon holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Loughborough University and an MBA from London Business School. He enjoys competing in triathlons, landscape photography and spending time with his wife and one-year-old son.
