Sohan leads the McCann Health teams in Mumbai and Delhi, utilizing his diverse experience across the healthcare marketing and communication domain.
He started his career with a one-year sales stint with GlaxoSmithKline in Bangalore, followed by a three-year foray into brand management, where he launched new GSK products, before switching into the world of healthcare communications with Contract Advertising (JWT network).
In 2004, he seized the opportunity to start the McCann Healthcare operation in Indonesia, then moving to Singapore, to be part of the growth story at McCann Health’s Southeast Asia hub.
After two years in the cleanest country in the world, he moved back to India in 2007 to take on the roles of General Manager, National Planning Director, and later Planning Consultant for the Mumbai operation.
Before becoming country head for McCann Health India, Sohan spent two years as Head of Sustainability for children’s NGO Magic Bus.
He is a medical doctor with an MBA in marketing from NMIMS in Mumbai. Three times a year, he teaches a one-week Integrated Marketing Communication course at the S P Jain Centre of Management in Singapore and Dubai.
In December 2012, Sohan led the India team to a Campaign Asia, ‘Specialist Agency of the Year’ award.
