Vincent Keunen is a software engineer from Liège University in Belgium. He started his career in AI research at the University. He then moved to the industry. He created Manex, a software house specialized in custom developments for large customers with advanced technologies. Between 2009 and 2014, Vincent has been the CIO of Lampiris. In 2011, Vincent was elected IT Manager of the year for the work done at Lampiris.
2007 was a difficult year for Vincent and his family. First, he was diagnosed with blood cancer (leukaemia) and 3 months later, his 10 year old son Pierre was diagnosed with bone cancer. They spent a year in hospitals going from chemo to radiotherapy, finally ending the cure with the amputation of Pierre’s leg. Today, both of them are alive and well, thanks to modern medicine. But Vincent was not satisfied with the management of information as he’s seen it in the medical sector. So he decided to do something about it.
In 2014, Vincent launched a new startup named Andaman7 to allow everybody to manage their health information on their mobile devices and to share it freely.
Vincent will demo Andaman7 – a combo personal health record for patients, electronic health record for health practitioners and a platform to securely exchange information between users.
