Health 2.0 Developer Challenge Winner: Team Videntity
At the Health 2.0 Fall Conference in San Francisco, October 7-8, 2010, Don Casey, CEO of West Wireless Health Institute (WWHI), announced that Team Videntity was the winner of the Accelerating Wireless Health Adoption through a Standardized Social Network Platform Challenge. WWHI called for innovative developers to save health care cost through creation of an application that would integrate sensor-derived data with social networks to construct a personalized wireless health ecosystem.
Alan Viars, CEO, Videntity gave a brief demonstration of the winning application.The team made a creative blood pressure meter and weight. A Wii balance board is attached to a clients computing device and Data is read directly from the device and transmitted via a social network for visual display. The team’s application was truly innovative and they deserved the prize of $10,000.
