Health 2.0 Developer Challenge Winner: Team Adobe Systems
The Markle Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation were one of the first to submitt a challenge to the Health 2.0 Developer Challenge and their challenge was inpired by the question: “Why isn’t there a little button that I can click to download my health information? A little blue button.” The Blue Button Challenge asked teams to develop a web-based tool that uses sample data from CMS or VA to help patients stay healthy and manage their care.
Team Adobe was winner of this challenge and a prize of $2,500 plus coffee with Clay Shirky, author of Here Comes Everybody and Cognitive Surplus. Their solution enabled health consumers to download their health record data into a secure document container which will automatically format content to predefined user-friendly specifications.
