Big Winners from the Developer Challenge
As we roll into the Thanksgiving holiday we wanted to give a quick update on all the exciting happenings in the Developer Challenge program.
In the last two weeks we closed seven different challenges and will be awarding more than $300,000 in cash prizes (and other extras) to 22 winning teams. We look forward to announcing the winners and helping the teams grow their respective ventures!
We currently have six open Challenges – four ONC and two private – and will be awarding more than $400,000 in prizes to 18 winning teams. The prize pots are getting bigger and we’re seeing a great response from the community!
Some other things we’d like to highlight this week include:
The Aetna Foundation Challenge is closing in less than a month and offers teams a great opportunity to fight obesity and improve public health. With $50,000 in total prizes and 3 prize levels entrants have a great chance of winning:
- Aetna Foundation Challenge
- $50k in prizes, Submission Deadline = December 15, 2011
We recently launched a challenge on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services “Healthy People 2020” Initiative that has received a lot of buzz:
- Healthy People 2020 Leading Health Indicators App Challenge
- $15k in prizes, Submission Deadline = March 9, 2012
The Reporting Device Adverse Events Challenge description has been simplified to make it easier to participate and we’ve extended the entry deadline to allow more teams to participate:
- Reporting Device Adverse Events Challenge
- $40,000 in prizes, Submission Deadline = February 3, 2012
Finally, we recently hosted two webinars (videos and slides are posted) so that you can learn more about ongoing Challenges before registering:
