Video From the GLU Launch at Health 2.0 San Francisco 2011
GLU, an online social network and personal health record for type 1 diabetes patients and their caregivers, is set to officially launch early this new year. Here’s a video from the September 2011 Health 2.0 Conference, where Janak Joshi, executive director of the T1D Exchange, demos the site. T1D is funded by the The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust, a foundation that supports nonprofits involved with health and medical research. T1D aims to create programs that facilitate information exchange between the diabetes patient and research communities. GLU is T1D’s first initiative and already has 70 hospitals and more than 20,000 patients using its beta program.
