Happtique launched its pilot program for mRx. Providers can use mRx to electronically prescribe apps to patients; they send a prescription to a patient’s smartphone or tablet, and then they can track which patients have clicked to fill them.
Ringful Health received a $150,000 research grant from the National Cancer Institute to fund a six month pilot. The project will use communication technology to look at how cancer screening can be personalized based on diseases, lifestyle and genetic makeup.

Sotera Wireless‘ ViSi Mobile received FDA clearance and said that it will begin selling the system to hospitals nationwide. ViSi Mobile uses WiFi to transmit information on patients’ vital signs to clinicians around the hospital.
AT&T released some preliminary findings from its pilot with Health Care Service Corporation. More than 75% of employees using the WellDoc DiabetesManager through AT&T mHealth Solutions said they planned to continue using it after the pilot.
