Chicago Health 2.0 Make-a-thon Winner, MyPocketNurse, Demos at Health Datapalooza
This week at Health Datapalooza, MyPocketNurse, winner of the Chicago Health 2.0 Make-a-thon competition got the opportunity to demonstrate their product at the Office of the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology (ONC) exhibit booth. This handy product allows users to manage and track their hypertension with a smart phone. The app also illustrates the integrated use of APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) from Walgreens such as Prescription Refill APIs, and vitals, including blood pressure readings from higi stations.
The opportunity to demo at Health Datapalooza was just part of the Make-a-thon prize, founders Albert Pak and Muhammad Fazeel also won $1,500, sponsored by the Illinois Department of Public Health(IDPH), Health and Human Services (HHS) and the ONC. Learn more in the full press release.
