Farzad is the fourth National Coordinator for Health Information Technology at HHS. This was his third time at Health 2.0 including running a Town Hall and being on a panel with Patients last Fall in San Francisco. Most of his day job is taken up with following through on the Meaningful Use EMR and Health Information Exchange rollouts. ONC is also supporting innovation in projects such as Beacons, SHARP and challenges. Farzad talked about the Investing In Innovations challenges program and to showed some of the winners from the program’s first year.
