Navigating the waters of purchasing can be very tricky, but the tools this session displayed, aimed at both employer and employee education, make it easier than ever before. In the same vein, managing a group of employees, especially with the changes which came October 1st, can be just as murky but we think we found some people who can help make sense of it all.
How are Health 2.0 tools helping employers make smarter purchasing decisions? What technologies are vendors using to educate employers and help them when making benefit enrollment decisions? We’ll address these questions and more, and see the tools that companies are using.

Amanda’s work includes several initiatives that focus on delivery system reform and payment redesign. These projects include a state-wide joint replacement registry, developed to provide standards and tools for evidence-based care for orthopedics; development and spread of consumer engagement tools that encourage patient involvement in selecting high-quality, cost-effective care; and transparency initiatives for health plans, providers, and employers.
