Gangadhar founded and operates 4th Main Health, a mobile app developer and solution provider for chronic health conditions. Gangadhar has worked as an IT project and programme manager in the U.S. health, financial services, retail and hospitality industries for over a decade, but he’s here to show us the app, DiaLog.

Michael believes play is among the most productive things we can do. Passionate about imagination, creation, and entrepreneurship, Michael has been building social networking applications since 1995. Currently he is the CEO of Canada’s “Hottest Digital Media Company.” Ayogo is a new company that builds functional social games to make people healthier through play.

Amer Mohammed is the CEO and lead developer for Warmbreeze Studios AB, a Swedish company that just released the mobile app game HealthyHeroes. The idea behind the game is to help your avatar unlock new levels by gaining points through healthy living and exercise. Amer is an avid gamer, yet he will put down the controller to shoot some hoops.

Whether or not you have a chronic condition, the goal of the game is to stay as healthy as you can for as long as you can. But we all know that it requires discipline to live a healthy life. This session showcases applications using gamification as a way to better engage patients. Let’s play!

Wellness 2.0: Sleepio

A former insomniac, Peter co-founded Sleepio, an online sleep improvement program clinically-proven to help overcome even long term sleep disorders in just 6 weeks. Under the hood, this fully automated Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) course for insomnia serves as a basis for personalized programs. If you wake up at night Sleepio’s digital sleep coach in his dressing gown will be there to calm you down. In the morning he’ll send you an SMS to remind you to report your night’s sleep and start the day right.

Wellness 2.0: Thryve

Thryve is a food coach that listens to your body to figure out what you should eat more of, and what you should avoid. Caleb first showed it at Launch! in Boston earlier this year in May 2012 and had a triumphant demo this past October in San Francisco, literally making the crowd gasp in surprise.
