As Nike SPARQ Performance Expert, Keith D’Amelio is putting the SPARQ Performance Methodology into practice working with some of the world’s best athletes and teams, as well as informing Nike product and technology innovation. Keith’s experience before landing at SPARQ includes years spent as a pioneer in the performance realm working with some of basketball’s best, including the Boston Celtics and the Toronto Raptors. In four years as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Toronto Raptors, he spearheaded a player development program that resulted in some of the some of the fewest games missed due to injury in the NBA.
With Toronto and his next team, Stanford University’s Men’s Basketball team where he was Director of Performance, Keith was able to bring players and coaches’ attention to new performance concepts and assessment protocols and help change the way they thought about training. Keith’s move from a team setting to Nike and SPARQ was a way for him to deepen his impact in the field of performance and interact with a wider range of athletes.
