One of the beneficiaries of the National Science Foundation, Emota.net helps busy and remote families stay in touch and stay supportive of their elderly parents. Using a simple visual interface, Emota offers a way to communicate messages, do video chats, and share records.

RxVitality – Single Pixel Information Displays

Based out of Cambridge, RxVitality created a single-pixel display that is now used to help communicate information to patients through color. Believed to be one of the best feedback loops out there, these displays are now being used for medical adherence. By using an ambient LED display they can help patients realize if they’ve taken their medicine, when they need to refill their prescriptions, and so on.
