We talked with Albert Santalo, President and CEO at CareCloud, about the biggest challenges, trends and developments in health care technology at the Health 2.0 San Francisco 2011 Fall Conference.

CareCloud is a new practice-management system launched in 2010 year by Albert, a health care revenue cycle veteran. They were a winner at IBMs SmartCamp Silicon Valley (even though they’re based in Miami), and they have one of the cleanest UIs we’ve seen. CareCloud’s goal is to give physicians the technological freedom to focus more on their patients, and less on their old software systems.

To get a practice management product on the main stage at Health 2.0, it had better be good. We’ve just loved CareCloud’s design since we first saw it early last year. None other than Jonathan Bush tweeted “I just met the man who will kill me. It won’t be for ten years yet… but check out carecloud.com. such a beautiful app! Oh the envy!” Now Albert and his rapidly growing team have also added the ability for others to integrate their products into CareCloud. Here he demonstrates how CareCloud can simplify software issues in medical offices. This demo was part of “The Next Generation of Health 2.0 in the Doctor’s Office” panel at the 2011 Health 2.0 conference in San Francisco.
