At Health 2.0 in 2008 Alex founded Engage With Grace, a viral movement that encourages people to talk about end of life care. In 2010 she brought us the idea of the “unmentionables” and introduced Elizalife.org’s Ostrich Index. Now we spend every summer arguing about what’s the most unmentionable thing that we should get health and health technology people to talk about–and then Alex leads an amazing crew to talk about it–and show solutions. This year? Vulnerability, caregiving, social support, death, sex, taxes.

That first year we covered childhood exercise, divorce and personal relationships. In 2011 we highlighted sleep, caregiving, money, suicide and work stress, with demos from Zeo on sleep, Mindbloom on community and mindfulness with GravityEight to bring it all together. This year we’ll visit even more unmentionables including an overview of the Vulnerability Index, poverty, sex and end of life issues.
