With doctors visits limited to 15 minutes a patient, patient satisfaction is at an all time low. As interaction between practitioner and patient dwindles, rates of readmission rise, producing a costly and cyclical health care problem. This breakout aimed to demonstrate the dynamic ways in which companies and individuals are improving the inpatient experience and putting an end to the structural problem of patient dissatisfaction.
One of fewer than two hundred board certified medical illustrators worldwide, John Harrington has acted as a courtroom expert witness in obstetrics, orthopedics, and neurology, and has been a contributing illustrator to a variety of publications. He’s since founded APS and their product GNOSIS, a mobile cloud-based platform that assesses clinician proficiency. GNOSIS allows a person to view their competency measure in relation to their peers, which drives a unique learning path through training programs for specific weaknesses.
