Joselin Linder is an author whose books include The Gamification Revolution, The Good Girl’s Guide to Living in Sin and The Best Life List. Her recent Tedx talk focused on the subject of her family gene and its subsequent vascular illness. This rare disease with only 14 known carriers has lead to a breakdown in the portal vein of her liver – however experts have assured her that her liver is otherwise “gorgeous.” Linder’s book, The Family Gene, is coming out with Harper Collins in 2015. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two dogs.
Joselin Linder joined the 8th Annual Fall Conference to discuss the subject of one of her family’s genes, its subsequent vascular illness, and her experience in our health care system as a rare disease patient. With only 14 other known carriers, Joselin has fought for decades to ensure that she and her family are treated properly and advocates for others with isolating illness experiences. To explore more of her journey, Linder’s book, The Family Gene, is coming out with Harper Collins in 2015.
