Co-Founders Matthew Holt and Indu Subaiya co-moderated a session of rapid-fire demos from Health 2.0 buzz-worthy newbies on “Launch!”. Demos included SmartPatient, Medvoy, Genetrainer, Medlio, InvolveCare, Recovery Record, Vimty, Liviam, Mevoked, and OM Signal. At the end of the session the audience overwhelmingly voted Stephane Marceau from OM Signal as the winner with his wearable sensor woven directly into the fabric of a t-shirt! The prize is bragging rights and an invitation to demo on the mainstage at the 8th Annual Fall Conference in 2014.
Always interested in the development of patient satisfaction and improvement solutions, Paul Clark was inspired by his own decades as a patient to found SmartPatient, which applies mobile technology to improve the patient experience using natural language processing and machine learning in post-discharge surveys. SmartPatient allows real time feedback from the patient from their personal device, thereby empowering the patient. Their deep analytics reveals actionable insights for improving healthcare quality and managing population health.
