Millions of Americans are involved in providing care for family members or friends, and they represent a vital but often overlooked component of the health care system. To date technology has played a relatively minor role in supporting their activities, but that may change in the near future. This workshop built on the findings of a recent expert roundtable on family caregiving & technology. Participants learned about powerful new technologies for tracking and managing health, and engaged in an interactive exercise to design future technology-based solutions.
Quantifed self guru and semi-disillusioned Arsenal fan Rajiv is back on the Health 2.0 scene. A few years back his health tracker system Tonic got great publicity but ultimately was too early. Unfrazzle is brand new and designed to, well, unfrazzle the lives of caregivers.
Launch! is a series of rapid-fire, back-to-back, 3.5 minute demos from new, buzz-worthy companies making their debut at Health 2.0. At the end, the audience will vote on a winner who will be invited to demo on the 2013 main-stage in San Francisco. Since it’s inception in 2008, Launch! has introduced over 45 new companies and products, including Unity Medical, Remedy Ventures, TheCarrot, and the WSJ’s 2010 top (and not just in health!) start-up company, Castlight Health.
